iPads and Glasgow City Council's Digital Learning Strategy

In December this year our children will have access to an iPad in our classes! This is part of the Glasgow schools' Connected Learning initiative i- which is in turn part of the wider council's Digital Learning Strategy initiative. It aims to deliver the highest standards of learning and teaching to all.

P1-5 will have access to shared iPad - there will usually be one available between every 5 pupils. The profile on each of them will be a generic one.

P6-7 will have an ipad each!  Once parents have signed a parental agreement each child in these stages will have their own pupil profile on their individual iPad. By then each child will also have an individual profile, including a Glow profile and login.
A meeting will be arranged before December with P6 and P7 parents, to outline the deployment process and parental involvement, answer any questions and arrange signing of the parental agreement.
